Knock CRM
Knock CRM delivers tools for scheduling, messaging, task management, and team oversight, supporting front office operations across marketing, property management, and leasing teams to improve efficiency and boost prospect-to-resident conversions.
My work began with conversation design for the AI Voice and AI Chat features, blending spoken-word interaction with visual workflows. As those developed, I took on the overhaul of the entire Knock CRM Admin suite, transforming a collection of developer-built screens into a cohesive, user-friendly system grounded in Material Design. Along the way, I created hundreds of whiteboard flows, wireframes, and prototypes. While the final UI may appear simple, it reflects deep work in data gathering, user testing, and aligning multiple systems.
Beyond UX/UI, I’ve also produced storyboards, video animations, presentations, documentation, and marketing materials to support the wide range of features Knock offers.

Examples of the wide range of work I’ve contributed to at Knock beyond core product screens include:
User Journey Storyboards: Developed detailed, visual storyboards to map user journeys across Knock’s ecosystem, helping cross-functional teams align on user pain points, goals, and opportunities for improved experiences.
Mobile Notifications: Designed and iterated on contextual mobile notification systems to enhance user engagement and improve responsiveness for leasing agents and property managers. This included working within iOS and Android frameworks, as well as defining appropriate tone, timing, and visual hierarchy.
AI Voice Feature Video: Created a compelling video prototype demonstrating Knock’s AI voice assistant feature in action. This included scripting, visual design, animation, and interaction flow to illustrate how AI can streamline routine tasks like responding to leads, scheduling tours, and capturing voice input.
The Drip Campaign feature is a complex notification tool that enables event-triggered messages to be sent to specific, pre-defined contacts. The interface must communicate a large volume of information while remaining manageable and user-friendly for campaign oversight and adjustments.
A simple drawer component was implemented to maintain context while providing space to input and manage extensive information and details.
A multi-month calendar view was added to support the management of facility closure dates, with the option to toggle between a list view and a traditional calendar layout for greater flexibility.
Midway through development of the user-facing features, analytics emerged as a new priority. To accommodate this, I introduced a separate branch within the product, designed to be managed by a different team. I applied a slightly distinct visual style to clearly delineate feature boundaries and maintain clarity across ownership areas.
The need to survey a large volume of operational data was addressed with a clean, easy-to-navigate card-based layout. Each card provides a quick overview and can be tapped to reveal more detailed information.
Tracking and contacting potential residents accounts for the majority of the value delivered by the Knock suite. After researching operational priorities and identifying key friction points, I designed a streamlined platform to make this daily workflow more efficient and intuitive. A card-based system played a central role once again, enabling quick access and clarity at a glance.
Tapping a card from the previous screen reveals a comprehensive view with detailed information, tools, and suggested next actions. This workspace serves as the primary hub where front office staff spend the majority of their time.
